The Sun

I have to admit that the basis for this image came from someone else.
I wanted it for my computer desktop,
so I recreated it in Photoshop with a few modifications
to make it vibrate a bit more.
Once I find the website I will be sure to put a link.  :-)
For legal purposes:  I claim no copyright on this one.
Original Design that inspired me is here.

THE VISITORS

I drew these guys this past summer
just before everything in my life started changing dramatically.
Mysterious figures trekking over a mountainous landscape.
The image kind of came upon me while I was at work and it had a great urgency to it
so I did a quick sketch with what I had available.
This may end up as a painting.
They have large silvery bubble faces.
I think they may be Space men...
or maybe those are just weird environment suits...
or Dr. Who Monsters.

Update 012714:

Over at Zombie Bites, this piece was presented in Exhumed and reinvestigated with color in January of 2014.  Check out the Exhumed image here.

The Great Stone

This image kind of creeped up on me.
It's very similar to the Monoliths I drew some years back,
but much larger and more ominous.
I needed to capture that feeling of coming up against something
so immense you couldn't see all of it.  Daunting.

The Black Sun

This image haunted me until I drew it.
I think it'd make a cool tattoo,
but I don't care much for the meaning of the image.

At Zombie Bites, this piece was Exhumed and reinvestigated with color in November 2013.  Check out the Exhumed image here.

Sacrifice

This image popped up in and my head one evening
and demanded to be created immediately.
Sadly after that it sat and sat and nothing
more came of it. Here is the sketch anyway.
Hopefully one day there will be more.

Pastel Merman

Here is an experiment with different brush shapes in Adobe.
Its kinda clunky, but I like the "pastel" look of it,
without getting my hands all grimey. :-)
Part of the reason I was never good with pastels.
...that and I kept breaking them. :-(

John Buscema Zippotone

Here is a Zippotone study over John Buscema's pencils/inks
from as issue of Conan the Barbarian.
All apologies to Mr. Buscema and Marvel.
Btw...they own the copyright so this is just me fooling around.
I love Zippotone...and you hardly ever zee it anymore in comics,
but it creates a strange energy in the images where it used effectively.
This is NOT necessarily one of those times.
Don't know who owns the copyright on this one,
I'm guessing Marvel.

The City Within

Here is a new mandala.
Sparks and City energy.

The Blurry Forest

Initially this was going to be a Mandala,
but instead it turned into this.
Kind of comment on my state of mind at the time.
I was trying really hard, but had no focus.

The Blue Flame

I keep having Daydream Visions of this substance.
It feels healing but INTENSE energy.
I'm not sure what the infinite me means...
more on that later...
