Weekly Mandala: Opening

A confusion of darkness parts and a window into hope is revealed.  A much more quiet sky this week in the afterglow of the Uranus Pluto Square.  We'll see some more fireworks from that square with the Full Moon on the 29th, but overall a MUCH quieter week.

• 24th- Moon in Capricorn square Saturn in Libra.  This evening the Moon moves into Aquarius we will feel the energy pick up pace as we edge closer to the Full Moon on Friday.

• 26th - Moon and Mercury trine Jupiter gives us energy and boosts faith and confidence.  Bouyant energy, things are looking up.

• 27th- Venus square Mars.  Passions run high.  Avoid fighting and aim at peacemaking instead.

• 29th- The Full moon in Aries is hitting the Uranus Pluto Square energy.  Sun in Libra opposes Uranus in Aries and Sun in Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn.  Speeding up the wrap up of Saturn in Libra, but pinging those Libra lessons one last time to make sure we got the point if we didn't catch the lesson the first time.

• 30th- Moon still Aries but easing off the intensity by sextiling Jupiter.

Weekly Mandala: Southwest III, Through the Stained Glass Window

Hold on to your hats because we have some major movements in the sky.  This is a HUGE week Astrologically! By this time next week we will all have been shaken, rattled, and stirred up by the dramatic effects of this week's astrological tornado.

On Sunday the 16th, Mercury, planet of communication and travel, moved into Libra, the sign of balance, relationships, and justice.  Today Mercury immediately inconjuncts foggy Neptune, currently retrograde in spiritual Pisces.  Ambiguity will challenge communications today.  Be as clear as you can.  This is the calm before the storm slowly disintegrating as the clouds move over us and the rain begins.

Today the Sun (the personal will) conjuncts (works well with, merges with) Mercury (pattern recognition, information, communication, travel).  Prepare for that lightning bolt epiphany if it hasn't hit you already!

The Mirror Cup

Here we have strange reflections emerging from small pools.  This piece comes from this past summer when after a deep and intense meditation, a voice whispered, "Welcome to the Cup."

They are hard,
these winds of change,

Archon of Manifestation

Here we have a representation of the process of gestation changing into growth as ideas take root and move towards physical manifestation.  The androgyny and coloring of this figure remind me of Tiresias from Rachel Pollack's run on Doom Patrol. 

Astrologically, today is a Blue Moon, the second Full Moon this month (in Pisces). The Moon opposes Sun in Virgo and conjuncts spiritual Neptune and healing Chiron.  Emotional issues may rise up for recognition right now.  We may want to focus on physical details and feel thwarted by this foggy emotional wave.  Considering the energy of the Full Moon behind it, I suspect the wave will not be ignored. As with all Full Moon cycles, look for the completion of something started around the New Moon on August 17th.

Neptune in Pisces: The Obsfuscation of the Light

When Neptune moved into Pisces earlier this year, I noticed an immediate disruption of my ability to communicate.  Everything became distracted and complicated in some fashion.  It wasn't the disruption that comes with say, a Mercury retrograde.  The effect was a complication, a confusion of the purity of intentions.

Eve of the Festival of Orgone: The Orgone Bomb

Here we are at the eve of the festival of Orgone and who knows what all lurks ahead!  There are several weighty astrological happenings over the next two weeks, all of which will certainly be in my thoughts and affect my actions as I move through the festival.  The most major of these events is less than a week away: the Uranus Pluto exact square on June 24th.

Reabsorbtion of the Ego

Here is the Ego being absorbed back into its source.  The Ego, such a tiny mask for the much larger force of Consciousness.  This piece for me revolves around the movement of and the power of Neptune in Pisces.  Which,by the way, Neptune just went retrograde on the 4th of June.

Entry into Netzach

As Neptune moves into Pisces today for the next fourteen years, I present this piece to you.  A great egg opening, revealing an expansive future, our minds growing like crystals in solution.  A door closed for so long suddenly opens and the inner sanctum is revealed.  The Butterfly emerging from the Chrysalis.

The High Priestess

Upon completing this, I immediately thought of The High Preistess card from the Tarot.  I really don't have much to bring other than that, but it was my first thought with this.

Weekly Mandala: Chaos Star Spinning Happiness

This echoes back to Karma and my Sending Out post, but with the addition of the Chaos Star.  Never fight fair.  Nature doesn’t.  However, I do not mean this in the sense of being vicious or vindictive.  Turns guns into flowers, hate into orgasms, conflict into understanding.  Undermine everything  and transform the World.  This is the lesson of Pluto in Capricorn (2008-2023)  combined with Neptune in Pisces (2011-2025) and Uranus in Aries (2010-2019). These forces become the water of life, dissolving the old structures of our world and releasing knowledge and energy.

Our challenge becomes keeping pace with this evolutionary force.  Our world doesn’t end with the finalizing of the Mayan calendar cycle.  It transforms beyond our previous understanding of it.  Try explaining our current world state to someone with a 19^th century worldview and you begin to see. Heck, try explaining our world to someone from the beginning of the 20^th century!  We are in the throes of birth change.  We are becoming the future.  MUTATE NOW!

Weekly Mandala: Plutostorm

Here is a face for the bombshells Pluto has been dropping into my life over the past year.  Cool energy, but volatile and corrosive.  A strange combo to be sure, but from what I've experienced so far it seems to be a highly solvent influence.  It has been dissolving the old structures of my life one after another with alarming regularity.  More on Pluto in Capricorn.

From this point forward, I'm going to try to post a weekly Mandala.  They are a good way for me to decompress and rekindle my zen...and I haven't done any in quite some time.  I'll try to avoid getting too repetitive with them.  I know after awhile they can all look the same.
