The Black Heart

I was obsessed for awhile with the symbolic idea of the "Black Heart".

My question was: What would turn a Heart Black?

Flame I think...VERY HOT Flame.

All apologies to the Black Heart of the Feri Tradition,

which I did not discover until later.

I must investigate that visually at some point.  :-)

When I was working on this one,

I was in a place of endings,

trying to get back on that damned horse!

I decided to some digging and make sure

that I'd posted everything I'd been working on recently.

I discovered that I've missed alot over the past years.

So this is the beginning of me catching up.

Kevin's Tattoo Dreamcatcher

Here is the preliminary sketch of my friend Kevin's tattoo.

The Bear paw is pre-existing on his arm 

and we're attempting to create the dreamcatcher around it 

and integrate with the paw.

(More on that later)

The finished piece is going to be color,

but this is where it began.

until I read how he was punished by the Asgardians for killing Balder.

I've always been fascinated by what happens to light

when it passes through glass or liquid.

My Fridge is a neato place.

Occasionally I am struck by the interesting 

photo moments that happen in my house.

It may also have to do with the fact 

that occasionally I find myself staring at things 

for indeterminate lengths of time.
